The Amber Light
The sun still shines,
as the clouds roll through,
painting a glorious golden hue.
The fields play a welcoming tune,
the dance begins,
hearts take flight…
in the amber light.
The flowers sing,
the body sways,
the butterflies take wing.
The sky so blue,
the sun so bright,
in a gentle breeze…
in the amber light.
The sun still shines,
as the clouds roll through,
painting a glorious golden hue.
Hearts take flight …
in the amber light.

June 22, 2024This poem is my joy of summer. Reading this brings a peace to my heart that is reminiscent of my youth. A carefree time when the light signaled whole epochs of feelings, experiences and time.
As a nearly 60 year old woman now, I am grateful to you Jana for drawing me back, back into the glow and hum of summer . . .
“The fields play a welcoming tune,
the dance begins,
hearts take flight…
in the amber light.”
Grateful . . xo
